Peak Power, Remote ON/OFF, Remote Sense and DC OK Signal
The MEAN WELL NSP-320 Series provides built-in peak power capability, remote ON/OFF control, Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions for industrial system integration and dynamic load applications.
For NSP-320-12, NSP-320-15, NSP-320-24, NSP-320-27, NSP-320-36, NSP-320-48 and NSP-320-60 models, the series supports up to 200% peak power capability for 5 seconds, enabling stable operation under transient load conditions such as motor startup, capacitive loads, charging loads and system inrush current.
The built-in remote ON/OFF control function allows external switching of the power supply, making the NSP-320 Series suitable for systems requiring power sequencing, standby control and centralized power management. Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions further support system-level monitoring and voltage compensation in industrial equipment.
Peak Power Capability
The NSP-320 Series supports short-term peak output for 12V to 60V models. For example, NSP-320-24 can deliver up to 640W peak power for 5 seconds, while maintaining rated output power under continuous operation.
This feature is particularly useful for applications with transient load demands such as industrial automation systems, telecom infrastructure, security equipment, network devices, charging-related equipment and other DC-powered systems requiring short-duration high current support.
Remote ON/OFF Control
The remote ON/OFF function is controlled via RC+ and RC- terminals on the CN1 connector. According to the function specification, the power supply remains ON when RC+ to RC- is open or maintained at 0–0.8Vdc.
The output is turned OFF when RC+ to RC- is driven to 3.3–10Vdc by an external control signal. This enables integration with system-level control logic, automation sequences and standby power management.
Remote Sense and DC OK Signal
The NSP-320 Series also provides Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions for system-level integration. Remote Sense helps compensate voltage drop between the power supply and the load, while the DC OK signal allows the system to monitor output status for control, alarm or protection logic.
Control Connector Information
The NSP-320 Series uses dedicated control interfaces for remote control, Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions. These functions simplify integration into industrial equipment, automation systems, communication devices, charging-related systems and distributed power architectures.
