Peak Power, Remote ON/OFF, Remote Sense and DC OK Signal
The MEAN WELL NSP-750 Series provides built-in high peak power capability, remote ON/OFF control, Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions for advanced industrial system integration and dynamic load applications.
For NSP-750-12, NSP-750-15, NSP-750-24, NSP-750-27, NSP-750-36, NSP-750-48 and NSP-750-60 models, the series supports up to 200% peak power capability for 5 seconds, enabling stable operation under transient load conditions such as motor startup, capacitive loads, charging systems and inrush current scenarios in high-power applications.
The built-in remote ON/OFF control function allows external switching of the power supply, making the NSP-750 Series suitable for systems requiring power sequencing, standby control and centralized power architecture management. Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions further support system-level monitoring, voltage compensation and operational status feedback in industrial equipment.
Peak Power Capability
The NSP-750 Series supports short-term peak output for 12V to 60V models. For example, NSP-750-24 can deliver up to 1500W peak power for 5 seconds, while maintaining rated output power under continuous operation.
This feature is particularly useful for applications with high transient load demands such as industrial automation systems, CNC machinery, robotics systems, telecom infrastructure, charging equipment and other high-power DC systems requiring short-duration overload support.
Remote ON/OFF Control
The remote ON/OFF function is controlled through CN1 using RC+ and 5V-AUX. According to the NSP-750 function manual, the power supply turns ON when RC+ is shorted to 5V-AUX, and turns OFF when the connection is open.
This dry-contact control method allows the NSP-750 Series to be integrated into external system logic, automation sequencing and standby power management strategies.
Remote Sense and DC OK Signal
The NSP-750 Series provides Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions for system-level integration. Remote Sense compensates for voltage drop on the load wiring up to 0.3V, while the DC OK signal enables real-time monitoring of output status for control, alarm and protection systems.
Control Connector Information
The NSP-750 Series uses dedicated control interfaces for remote ON/OFF, Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions. These features simplify integration into industrial equipment, automation systems, robotics platforms, communication infrastructure and distributed high-power architectures.
