Remote Control, Remote Sense and DC OK
The LRS-1200 series includes built-in Remote Control, Remote Sense, and DC OK signal functions. These features support easier system integration, more accurate output monitoring, and flexible external control.
With these functions, the series is well suited for industrial automation, control systems, and other demanding applications. It is a reliable solution for systems that require high-power output, status feedback, and wiring compensation.
Remote Control
The Remote Control function allows the PSU to be turned ON or OFF by using an external switch and auxiliary power. According to the function manual, the output remains ON when RC+ to RC- is open or kept at 0–0.8Vdc.
The output turns OFF when RC+ to RC- is kept at 3.3–10Vdc. This function is useful for systems that require external control logic or remote power switching.
Remote Sense
Remote Sense helps compensate voltage drop on the load wiring by up to 0.3Vdc. This helps improve output accuracy at the load side in demanding installations.
The function manual also notes that the sense lines should be twisted in pairs. This feature is especially useful when cable distance or wiring resistance may affect output stability.
DC OK Signal
The built-in DC OK signal provides a TTL-level output to indicate PSU output status. The datasheet states that the signal is “High” when the PSU turns on.
Power ON is 3.3–5.6Vdc, and Power OFF is 0–1Vdc between DC_OK and GND. This makes the unit more practical for monitoring, status feedback, and integration with external control systems.
