Programmable Output, Remote ON/OFF, Remote Sense, DC OK Signal, CANBus and MODBus
The MEAN WELL NSP-3200 Series provides programmable output voltage, programmable output current, remote ON/OFF control, Remote Sense, DC OK signal, 5Vaux and 12Vaux auxiliary power, built-in CANBus communication, optional MODBus protocol by request and parallel operation support for advanced industrial, telecom, PoE infrastructure, automation and high-power DC system integration.
For NSP-3200-24 and NSP-3200-48 models, the series supports output voltage programming from 50–125% of nominal output voltage and output current programming from 0–100% of rated current. This allows engineers to adjust voltage and current behavior according to system requirements in industrial automation machinery, telecom equipment, PoE power systems, network infrastructure, supercapacitor systems and other high-power DC architectures.
The built-in remote ON/OFF control function allows external switching of the power supply, making the NSP-3200 Series suitable for systems requiring power sequencing, standby control, centralized power management and controller-based startup logic. Remote Sense, DC OK signal, auxiliary power outputs, CANBus communication and optional MODBus protocol further support voltage compensation, operational feedback, digital power control and system-level monitoring.
Output Voltage Programming
The NSP-3200 Series supports output voltage programming for all 24V and 48V models. Output voltage can be adjusted from 50–125% of nominal output voltage according to the control method defined in the function manual.
This function is useful for applications requiring adjustable DC output, voltage tuning, system-level power optimization and controlled output behavior. For example, NSP-3200-24 can be used in 24V industrial systems requiring programmable voltage adjustment, while NSP-3200-48 can support 48V DC bus architectures requiring controlled output voltage settings.

Output Current Programming
The NSP-3200 Series supports output current programming from 0–100% of rated current. This allows the constant current level to be adjusted through the control interface, making the series suitable for controlled current limiting, charging-related systems, test equipment, supercapacitor systems and applications where output current must be actively managed.
This function is especially useful when load conditions vary dynamically or when system designers need a defined current ceiling rather than only relying on protection-based current limiting behavior.

Remote ON/OFF Control
The remote ON/OFF function is controlled through the CN2 interface using R.C and +5Vaux. According to the NSP-3200 function description, the power supply turns ON when R.C is shorted to +5Vaux, and turns OFF when the connection is open.
This control method allows the NSP-3200 Series to be integrated into external system logic, automation sequencing, standby control and centralized power control architectures.
Remote ON/OFF is suitable for systems where power cycling must be controlled by PLCs, controllers, relays or system-level management circuits.
Remote Sense and DC OK Signal
The NSP-3200 Series provides Remote Sense and DC OK signal functions for system-level integration. Remote Sense compensates voltage drop on load wiring up to 0.5Vdc, ensuring stable voltage regulation at the load side in high-current applications.
The DC OK signal provides real-time output status feedback for monitoring, control and protection systems. It indicates whether output voltage is within normal operating range, supporting system-level diagnostics and fault monitoring.
These functions are essential for high-power DC distribution, industrial automation systems, telecom infrastructure and PoE-related applications requiring stable regulated output and system feedback.
5Vaux, 12Vaux and Intelligent Fan Control
The NSP-3200 Series provides 5Vaux and 12Vaux auxiliary power outputs. The 5Vaux output is rated at 0.2A, and the 12Vaux output is rated at 0.8A. These auxiliary outputs support control circuits, communication circuits and system-level monitoring functions.
The series also includes intelligent fan speed control based on internal temperature, optimizing thermal performance and acoustic noise under different load conditions.
Combined with DC OK signal and communication functions, these features make the NSP-3200 Series suitable for intelligent high-power industrial systems requiring monitoring and control integration.
CANBus Communication and Optional MODBus Protocol
The NSP-3200 Series includes built-in CANBus communication for control, configuration and monitoring functions. CANBus enables integration into industrial automation systems and intelligent power architectures.
MODBus protocol is available by request for applications requiring fieldbus-based communication systems. This allows integration into broader industrial control networks, telecom systems, PoE infrastructure and OEM platforms requiring digital power control.

Parallel Operation and Active Current Sharing
The NSP-3200 Series supports active current sharing and parallel operation up to 12800W or 4-unit systems. This enables scalable power expansion and system redundancy for high-power applications.
For parallel operation, output wiring should use short, low-impedance conductors, and voltage differences between units must be within the specification range defined in the manual.
This function is suitable for high-current DC cabinets, telecom systems, industrial automation platforms, PoE infrastructure and large-scale distributed power systems requiring expandable power capacity.
